PRESENTATION

This session presents the course of Miso Music Portugal, frame of reference for experimental, electroacoustic and transdisciplinary contemporary music. Founded in 1985, MMP is associated with the Portuguese Music Research & Information Centre with an important digital platform, and the Música Viva Festival, which holds in 2018 its 24th edition. What experience and reflection after the end of more than 30 years of continuous activity to foster the creation, national and international circulation, research and preservation of heritage, publishing, sharing? reXistir, the title for the session, sums up the tenacity of a project of excellence and highly recognized in Portugal and abroad. Since October 2014, the MMP has its space in Lisbon: the O'culto da Ajuda, which is also a reason for reflection. What are the logics of inclusion and resistance to artistic programming in this space, where transdisciplinary musical creation explores new ways, aesthetics, values?
