Olhares de Outono 2007 - Digital Arts Festival
29 Octobre until 2
November 2007 | 10:00 to 13:00
"Generative systems have become popular among artists and designers working with digital media as a way to introduce chance into their creative practices. By encoding aesthetic principles as a set of instructions one can explore the range of possible outcomes or create a never-repeating animation.
This workshop will introduce the use of generative processes as a pragmatic tool and a conceptual framework for creative work. Participants will be using the programming environment Processing, which supports a wide range of visual applications such as 2D and 3D graphics, user interaction and export to still images, PDF or Quicktime."

"How can we make things move in an interesting, compelling, and lifelike manner?
This workshop will investigate key concepts of programmatic animation techniques using processing, and will explore how these approaches integrate with interactive and audiovisual systems to create intuitive and playful modes of expression.
In addition, we will take a look at openFrameworks, a cross platform c++ library for creative coding."
