Filipe Quaresma, is one of the best performers of his generation. He usually chooses, for his concerts, works by composers he admires and with whom he relates musically.
In an attempt for a rapprochement between contemporary Portuguese music and the public, Filipe Quaresma chosed for this concert one of the most emblematic works for cello, and the best known among all popular universe of so-called classical music - the first suite of Bach solo cello. The proposed program, which was recorded in 2014 at Sala Suggia, Casa da Música is dedicated mainly to Portuguese music for solo cello.
